Courage for the Modern Leader

In this episode of The Behaviorist, guest host Joey McMonagle sits down with Lydia Henry, member of the Executive Committee for the Board of Directors at the Lancaster County Community Foundation, to explore how we can weave a new understanding of confidence into our lives. 
Launching from a definition of the word by Irish poet David Whyte, Lydia and Joey touch on how vulnerability and self-awareness impact our ability to be courageous. With a candid review of her own experiences, Lydia expands on this, diving into how leaders of organizations have a responsibility to create space for their teams to explore their own courageous  engagement. 
The conversation continues with a review of the risks and rewards of showing up with courageous authenticity, an interesting discussion on what courage looks like in this age of rapid change due to evolving technology, and then a review of concrete ways to build courage into our daily practices.
